Reconfiguration Information

Kenowa Hills Public Schools is currently undergoing major changes that will enhance instruction and increase the focus on individual student learning. By the fall of 2010 our district will have become totally transformed! The reconfiguration will save Kenowa Hills close to $1 million per year.

The reconfiguration will cause the closing of Fairview, Marne and Walker Station elementary schools. The Daycare and Learning Center on Kinney St. will also close and reopen in the Walker Station building. Fifth-grade will move into the elementary buildings. Sixth-grade will move into the Middle School and implement concepts from the "school- within-a-school" model.
