Central Elementary News June 11

Dear Families,

We all cried a few tears (or perhaps it was sweat) as we waved goodbye to our 5th graders on Wednesday. We’re so proud of our Knights. They finished strong.

Have a happy summer! We’ll see you August 24th!

Go Knights! Central Shines!

Returning Student Registration (Info Update)
You will be emailed/mailed notifications about completing a returning student registration at the end of June. This registration will be done using a PowerSchool parent portal. Our technology department is busy creating ParentPortal accounts for all K-12 families who do not already have an active account. The information will include instructions as well as an assigned username. This yearly registration must be completed in order for your student to be able to fully participate at school (ie. Recess, gym class, field trips, etc.)

Teacher Assignments
Teacher assignments will be emailed out during the 3rd week of August. Please make sure we have a current email on file by carefully completing your returning student registration (see above).

Dear Families,

Whoa! This humidity is making our school warm! It feels like summer is finally getting close! Speaking of, our next KONA ice day will be June 6th. Hmmm, ice sounds really good right now!

On a fun note, we’re all looking forward to seeing Mr. Bernard on the roof next week. The kids earned this as a prize for our very successful PTO fundraiser. I hope Mr. Bernard remembers sunblock!

As you look forward to and start planning for summer, take a look at the information below about Kenowa Hills Youth Summer Camps.

Here’s to finishing strong! Go Knights! Central Shines!

Dear Families,

The weeks are really flying by now! Just 17 more wake-ups until summer! Our state and national testing is in full swing. I’m fairly certain I saw some steam billowing out of a few of our students’ ears the other day as I walked by a classroom, busily testing. Our students are really digging deep to finish out this year strong. Please keep up the encouragement and positivity. Your students really are doing a remarkable job. Their flexibility alone is award-worthy. Have a great weekend.

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
