Kenowa Hills Zinser Elementary is a welcoming and engaging school community where dedicated, hardworking staff partner with highly involved families to support students who are motivated to succeed. At the core of learning is our longstanding motto: Kids Who CARE. It represents how we want our students to treat others and their schoolwork.  We want students to CARE about their classmates, the staff, the school, the community, the planet, and their effort towards school work.

CARE also represents our code of conduct, standing for;

Cares for others
Acts safely
Responsible for my choices
Engages in learning

Kenowa Hills Zinser Elementary places a strong emphasis on high-quality learning for every student. Our dedicated teachers use research-based reading curriculum and engaging, hands-on math instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Staff members work closely with each student to provide support, challenge growth, and celebrate progress. In addition to core academics, students benefit from a well-rounded experience through specials classes including physical education, music, STEM, Spanish, and art. Our collaborative intervention teams provide targeted support to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed. This commitment reflects the dedication and passion of our staff to help all students reach their full potential.

Zinser Elementary’s culture and school climate is built on relationships. We (as well as the district) have a focus on Capturing Kids’ Hearts in order to build relationships and teach our students effectively. The Flippen Group recently honored Zinser Elementary once again, as a National Showcase School through Capturing Kids’ Hearts, for the sixth year in a row!

Through a variety of opportunities, both students and families can get involved. With programs like Zinser Family Council, WatchDOGS (Dads of Great Students), CARE Teams, and after-school activities, there's something for everyone at Kenowa Hills Zinser Elementary!
