Johnston brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having taught for over 20 years, including her most recent position as a third-grade teacher at Alpine Elementary within the district. Her background includes classroom teaching as well as leadership in mentoring new teachers and supporting school culture initiatives.

Kenowa Hills Public Schools Welcomes Michael Dodge as Principal of Kenowa Hills Middle School

Grand Rapids, MI – Kenowa Hills Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Dodge as the new principal of Kenowa Hills Middle School. Dodge joins the Kenowa Hills community with over 20 years of experience in education, most recently serving as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Orchard View Middle School in Muskegon. His background also includes 17 years as a teacher at Reese Puffer and Muskegon Public Schools.
Dodge brings a wealth of experience in leadership and innovative teaching practices, including project-based learning and interdisciplinary instruction. He is committed to fostering a supportive and engaging environment for students, staff, and families.

Ross Willick Hired as Athletic Director of Kenowa Hills Public Schools

Grand Rapids, MI – Kenowa Hills Public Schools has announced the appointment of Ross Willick as the district's new Athletic Director. Willick transitions into this role after serving as the Principal of Zinser Elementary School, where he spent the last 12 years fostering a strong, supportive community and building lasting relationships with students, staff, and families.
Willick brings a wealth of experience and passion for athletics to his new position, having served in various educational roles throughout his 23-year career, including middle school and high school teaching and varsity coaching. His commitment to student development and community engagement has made him a respected leader within the district.

Kenowa Hills Public Schools Selects Val Conklin as Director of Transportation

Conklin brings nearly 30 years of experience in school transportation, having started as a bus attendant and working her way up to director at multiple districts. Her extensive experience and passion for both safety and community make her a valuable addition to Kenowa Hills.
