Dear Kenowa Hills Middle School Families,
We had a great first full week of school! Students are settling into their routines, and lockers, backpacks, and schedules are becoming easier to manage. We’re also looking forward to next week’s Homecoming festivities with Spirit Day themes each day and a school-wide assembly on Friday to close out the week.
This week we also launched two exciting opportunities for students:
Second Chance Breakfast – Available at the end of Connect Period, this gives students another chance to grab breakfast if they missed it before school. Students are reminded to eat in class carefully before heading to 1st hour.
Knights Table – Our new after-school dinner program, perfect for students staying for sports or clubs. Meals are served in the cafeteria and must be eaten there. Knights Table is open Monday–Thursday for 20 minutes after school.
Our Middle School Parent Group also has several ways to get involved:
Mileage Club – Volunteers are needed on Wednesdays and Fridays during lunch to track laps, hand out rewards, and cheer on students.
Parent Meeting – Thursday, September 18, 5:30–6:30 PM at the Middle School. All are welcome!
1st Annual Cornhole Tournament – Friday, September 19. This fun, school-wide event needs your help with:
-Event volunteers
-Donations
-Cornhole boards (the most important piece!)
Thank you, as always, for your continued support in making Kenowa Hills Middle School a great place for our students.
Sincerely,
Mr. Dodge
Principal, Kenowa Hills Middle School

Dear Kenowa Hills Middle School Families,
We had a wonderful first week back to school! Thank you for helping make the transition smooth for our students.
Here are a few important updates:
i-Ready Testing: Next week, students will be completing i-Ready testing. Please ensure your student brings a fully charged Chromebook to school each day.
Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up: We are using two lanes for both drop-off and pick-up. Please review the newsletter for details and be respectful of others during these busy times.
Lockers: With lockers being new for all students this year, we are proud of how quickly they’re adjusting. Encourage your student to plan out their schedule so they can move efficiently and arrive to class on time.
Middle School Parent Group: Our Parent Group has been doing a fantastic job supporting staff and students, and there are several opportunities to get involved!
Next Meeting: Thursday, September 18, from 5:30–6:30 PM at the Middle School. All are welcome!
Thank you for your continued partnership in making Kenowa Hills Middle School such a great place for our students.
Sincerely,
Mr. Dodge

We had a great week at KHMS! Students followed an alternative schedule to participate in our PBIS Stations and complete the iReady Fall Diagnostic Assessment. A big thank you to Deputy Bishop and our entire Student Services team for helping run the stations. Any students who did not finish their iReady Assessment will have time to complete it next week.
Today, students brought home several important items:
- Their Student ID
- A GESKUS picture order form card
- A packet about the visiting dentist program scheduled for March
Please check with your student to make sure these materials made it home.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support in making Kenowa Hills Middle School a great place for our students.
Sincerely,
Mr. Dodge

Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers.
