WOW I can't believe that the 2023-24 school year has come to an end! This year flew by! Final report cards and next year teacher letters will be mailed out by mid-week, so watch your mailboxes! The last Lost & Found for the year will be posted on Facebook next week. Returning student update email will go out to families after July 4th, please keep an eye out for that communication. If you have any questions or changes of address, email, or phone numbers please contact our Administration Building at 616-784-2511 Monday - Thursday 8am-4pm.

We had a very busy end of the year at Zinser - Field Day was held last Friday, many field trips, a great ceremony for our 5th grade graduates, and we wrapped it up with our Flag Lowering Ceremony. We will miss them and wish them the best as they move up to Middle School! We had two retirees from Zinser- Lisa Wisneski our Resource Room Teacher & Deb Schweitzer our Librarian. They will be greatly missed, but deserve much rest and relaxation!

Have a great Summer, see you in September,
Ross Willick
Principal

Happy Long Weekend Zinser Families,

We had a beautiful morning for Goodies with Grandparents/Special Persons Day! We welcomed over 400 guests to our school! Thank you to our Family Council for organizing this special event! Speaking of Family Council...

Zinser Elementary is looking for someone to lead our Family Council going into the 2024/25 school year.

Family Council is a committee of parents dedicated to planning, organizing and working alongside staff to provide students with fun opportunities outside of our daily classroom schedule. The Family Council Facilitator is a leadership position that is responsible for not only leading the monthly parent meetings but will also work to schedule and organize activities throughout the year, secure volunteers, and work with the teachers and principal to support school wide events and fundraisers.

Today was our last full Friday of classes for the year! Next Friday is a half day (12:05 dismissal) and the following Friday, 5/31 is Zinser's Field Day!

Reminder that next Friday is Goodies with Grandparents (Special Persons day) we will have donuts and refreshments starting at 8am and wrapping up at 8:35. Due to the amount of guests we are expecting we will have everything set up outside by the playground. Please dress for the weather! Also parking will be available across the street at the church. If that fills up you are welcome to park in the Old Mission neighborhood and walk over. There are two paved paths from neighborhood to our playground.

Our 4th grade classes were able to experience JABiztown for a recent field trip. They are this week's newsletter spot light also lost and found pictures are posted.

Parents/guardians, thank you for taking the time to complete our annual school improvement parent survey from a few months ago. This document summarizes the celebrations, challenges, and themes to look to address coming into the next school year. If you have any further questions or feedback, please email or call Mr. Willick.

Enjoy the beautiful weather we are supposed to have this weekend!
