Hello Families,
Be sure to check out this week’s newsletter for important dates, fun Spirit Week details, links to activities for your child, and more! We hope you enjoy a wonderful Fall Break and look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday, October 15th.
Thank you for supporting your child in our annual Read-A-Thon Fundraiser, which kicked off this week! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, organized by the Zinser Family Council, and it helps fund all the amazing things we do throughout the school year. Every dollar raised goes directly back to Zinser students and staff—supporting classroom supplies, field trips, holiday celebrations, special events, and more. Plus, it encourages students to read and take pride in contributing to their school community.
Registration began on October 6 at mybooster.com/v3. Parents can create a personalized account for their child using the parent/guardian’s birthday. Once the account is set up, you’ll be able to:
Share your child’s donation link via email, text, or social media
Log your child’s daily reading minutes
Join in on the fun, friendly competition!
There are awesome prizes for students and classes who participate—check out the newsletter for all the details!

Congratulations to students who were recognized for showing EMPATHY in September. This month’s character trait focus is SELF DIRECT and students are learning to STOP, THINK, CHOOSE, ACT!
Read MoreHello Families,
We wrapped up the month of September with a celebration of the many positive choices our students made. At today’s assembly, one student from each class was recognized for showing the September character trait—empathy. Students also traded in their CARE cards for prizes, and the class that showed the best hallway behavior
enjoyed a special treat. We are proud to be Kids Who CARE!

Walker Pumpkin Bash
New Location: While construction on the new Walker Library is underway, we’re “carving out” a new location for Pumpkin Bash at Walker Community Park, a spot already known for hosting our summer concerts. The event will also take place at a new time this year, on Saturday, October 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. From treats to seasonal activities, Pumpkin Bash remains a “boo-tiful” way to celebrate autumn and the upcoming Halloween season with the community, just in a different pumpkin patch this year. Free pumpkins for kids under 12, live music, donuts and cider, pumpkin decorating, critter barn, and trick or treating. Costumes encouraged!

Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without an understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
