HOPE in a Bag Kicks Off Their First Meeting With 250 Blessing Bags!
The Hope in a Bag club held its first meeting of the year and made an incredible impact right away—students came together to assemble 250 blessing bags to donate to the homeless community in our area. These bags include essential personal care items and small comfort items intended to support individuals in need as the weather gets colder. The club is led by President Brennan Pete and Vice President Frankie Brown, with Mrs. Locke and Mrs. Soderquist serving as advisors. Their mission is simple yet meaningful: to spread hope, kindness, and compassion throughout our community. Hope in a Bag meets on the first Tuesday of each month after school, where members work together to assemble blessing bags. Once completed, these bags are delivered to local homeless shelters, women’s centers, and teen outreach programs around Grand Rapids.
KHHS Fall Play - Miracle on 34th Street - November 13-15 at 7 PM - $10 Tickets
Miracle in 34th Street is a heartwarming holiday story. By chance, Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris committed to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa.
Student Tickets: Students may purchase 1 discounted ticket for $5.00 cash at the door with a valid KHHS Student ID. Students must be present and are required to show their current KHHS student ID at time of purchase. Limit 1 ticket per student. Payment must be made in cash only unless purchasing with full price tickets as well.

Exploring Careers in Healthcare: Corewell Health Field Trip
Our students had an exciting and educational field trip to Corewell Health today! During the visit, students explored 15 different medical care paths, gaining firsthand insight into careers in healthcare. They learned about opportunities in respiratory therapy, ultrasound, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapy, nursing, and many more fields. Many of the stations included hands-on experiences, allowing students to try out skills used in these careers, as well as discussions about the education and training required for each profession. It was a fantastic day of learning and exploration, giving students a glimpse into potential career paths in healthcare and inspiring the next generation of professionals.

New Raptor Visitor Management System
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing safe and secure learning environments, we are excited to announce the implementation of the Raptor Visitor Management System beginning this school year. This new system will replace our traditional paper sign-in process and provide a more effective way to monitor and track visitors, volunteers, and guests on campus.
When visiting our school, guests will check in at the front office by presenting a government-issued photo ID. The Raptor system will:
For those wishing to volunteer, please remember that a district background check is required annually in addition to the Raptor sign-in process. To begin this step, simply bring your photo ID to the front office.
We appreciate your support in helping us strengthen campus safety. With your partnership, we can ensure a safe learning environment for every student.

TRANSPORTATION BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CAREOur Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without an understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
